GPUTC provides an inspiring and aspirational addition to the educational landscape of Peterborough and the surrounding area. Our students develop skills that employers demand and gain the qualifications, knowledge and understanding that employers, higher education and FE are looking for.
We believe teaching must be of a high quality, it must be well planned, well delivered, and well-structured, with every learner in mind. Equally so, learning must be of a high quality, you cannot have high quality teaching if learners are not willing to try. We expect all GPUTC learners to behave in a way that allows high quality teaching to happen.
We also believe in the need to form positive relationships. This relates to everyone involved in the UTC: students, parents, staff, governors and our sponsors. We all want the same thing: for our learners to be successful, to achieve and to be 100% equipped for the next stage in their learning and their lives.
As a UTC, we place Engineering, Design and the Built Environment at the heart of all we do, all subjects, all lessons, all opportunities. We have a duty to expose our students to as much work-related learning as we can. This must complement their studies and relate their knowledge to the actual working world.
Finally, UTC learners must have the desire to do their absolute best to fulfil their potential.
