Year 12 Work Experience Placements
All year 12 students will undertake a minimum of one weeks work experience this term and for some of our learners it forms an essential part the of their engineering curriculum. BTEC Diploma in Engineering learners are assessed on their ability to research, plan and organise their own placements along with their ability to reflect and plan for development of their own skills, knowledge and behaviours. Students have been provided with a booklet to log their skills and experience whilst on their placement. It is important that students complete this to the best of their ability.
ICASH continue to support students with sexual health and advice via drop in appointments. Please speak to Emma Coleman or Charlotte Maybank to arrange this.
Students received a very informative presentation on Thursday (27th of March) highlighting what prison life is really like. The aim of the session was to reduce anti social behaviour in and out of school by educating students about the justice system. Student feedback from the assembly was very positive, with many students saying that they had a much clearer understanding of the justice system and repercussions for poor choices.
