Welcome Back KS4

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as Head of Key Stage 4 at GPUTC. I hope your child has enjoyed their first few days back in school. I have been impressed with the conduct and enthusiasm shown by the students. We set high standards for student conduct at GPUTC and it was excellent to see students meeting these expectations from the outset.

My role is to lead and manage the achievement, progress and behaviour for all Year 10 and 11 students. I will support your child with achievement and progress, and gauge where intervention is needed for students whose attendance, achievement or behaviour is a concern.

Your child’s mentor should be the first point of contact for both them and yourself if there are any day-to-day queries or concerns. I have circulated your email addresses to your child’s mentor who should have been in touch to introduce themselves. If you are unsure of who your child’s mentor is please email me. For more serious concerns or if the mentor is unable to assist, you can contact me on the number above, or email me at s.alldread@gputc.com. The senior leader link for KS4 is Lynne Donaldson (Director of Support). She can be contacted on l.donaldson@gputc.com.

You will be hearing from me again periodically throughout the year. In future letters I will set out some key dates and important messages for you to be aware of this year. I will also use these letters as an opportunity to share the experiences and celebrate the successes of students across KS4.

Kind regards,

Sean Alldread

Teacher of Geography and Head of KS4
