Careers Fair: Full STEM Ahead Futures
Although our 'year of firsts' has now passed, we are still experiencing lots of 'firsts' as a UTC.
With our second academic year in full swing, we held our first careers event titled Full STEM Futures where our students had the opportunity to speak with over 20 exhibitors made up of local and national employers, apprenticeship providers and universities. This is one of the many opportunities our students get to converse with prospective employers as part of our unique employer engagement programme which links students with employers and other future pathways.
The careers fair gave our students the chance to find out about latest industry developments, speak with our partners and sponsors and pick up literature to help them make informed choices about their futures. Exhibitors included companies such as the BBC Cyber Security Team, construction giants RG Carter and the Royal Navy to name but a few.
Our lead sponsor Anglian Water also took part in the day. Pictured above is Anglian Waters Resourcing Manager - Paul Thornton who spent the day quizzing our students on their knowledge of Anglian Water.
Thank you to our sponsors and partners for making the event such a success! The feedback from students and exhibitors was phenomenal and we look forward to putting on an even bigger event next year.
